About Counter Human Trafficking Toolkit East Africa
Stop Human Trafficking
Smart Talk Cafe is a youth-based initiative that seeks to engage youth participation in the Sustainable Development Goals in Kenya and Africa. It acknowledges that the youth bulge could undermine economic growth, peace, and security if not transformed into a demographic divided. It wants to work with national governments, development partners, institutions, companies, organizations, and people to get the public involved and take actions that help meet urgent social, economic, and environmental challenges through the SDGs.
Vision
To have a well-informed youth population that understands and uses the global goals to create solutions and also monitor their countries leadership.

Mission
To create awareness among the youth on the SDGs and Agenda 2063 and their role in the implementation, monitoring and accountability process through capacity building and harnessing their productive energies towards peace, equity, eradication of human trafficking, and prosperity in their communities.
Our theory of change
The youth would share their experiences, lessons, challenges and successes in realizing these goals. We believe that when youths are capacitated with leadership and development skills, knowledge and attitudes, then they become active citizens in their respective communities and countries. This gets young people involved by giving them a chance to help make and carry out policies, programs, and services that affect them and their communities. Youth participation makes sure that policy actions are useful and helps young people become partners and leaders in development. This approach asserts the importance of viewing the youth as assets and active agents of change, who can contribute their energy, idealism, and insights to a nation’s growth and progress; and in the end the SDGs. The program seeks to involve the youth in reviewing Global indicators, developing innovative enterprises that are implementable and scalable local approaches towards sustainable development and develop program partnerships and collaborations to increase youth participation and philanthropy, develop stronger public and private partnerships, increase active citizenship through community engagements and leadership. In the end, we intend to see increased youth engagement and youth leadership in formal and informal policy processes, better policy designs and implementation, increased social capital for realization of sustainable development, improved public private partnership for efficient service delivery, increased patriotism and civic participation.
